Propecia will regrow hair, but, erm, it's not without side effects that can affect you as well :P

Welcome to the forum.
minoxidil usually stops the baldness from getting worse, and in the still populated areas (vs areas that are completely bald) it will often start growing those little baby hair.

It is safe to use, and it basically stops the male hormons to reach the roots of the hair, where they tend to make people bold.

Once you stop, you will get back very soon to the position you you not have used it, so basically its for llife.

I dont know what its called in the usa, but in Israel and europe they sell it.

In europe usually 2% and in Israel up to 5%, but higher requires a prescription.

Bald is beautiful! Males go bald due to high levels of DHT which is a more potent form of testosterone (male hormone) the fact that hes going bald just means hes got a lot of testosterone. In fact in ancient greece or rome they considered baldness as a good thing as it was a sign of virility

There's not many products out there that are effective without risk of side effects. Which is why you see bald people in this world. If it was a simple pill, everyone would take it. Is he losing more hair than is normal for his age? Is the rest of his family also hair-intolerant? If he's losing more hair than is normal and it's not a family issue, you should speak to a doctor. If not, just make peace with it.

Or use the moish tactic, which involves using only 3% of the brain capacity, so not to overheat the hair roots, which renders someone bald.

Just wondering if you are making plans for the day when your husband starts noticing some wrinkles and grey hair, and wants you to do some research...

I am not trying to be insensitive. I am just pointing out that your husband didn't choose how his hair grows, and he shouldn't have to put up with any flak about it.
If you don't like his hair, take it up with his Creator, and not with him.

Good point but doesn't mean you can't take care if yourself. Lotion for wrinkles. And helping your balding head if you want. Its hard to know the story just from a post on DDF.

If anyone has some tips for her, give em. And yes if he doesn't care about his baldness but doesn't mind doing something about it then so be it.

Honestly there probably isn't that much to do safely without doing some major surgery. You can read up about certain foods to eat that might help or other small things etc but otherwise you're best off just growing to love it and letting him know how great he looks.

Yes, I chose some tamer examples, there are other more dramatic examples where not much can be done ... no need to go there,  I think my point is understood.

Agreed. Just commenting based on the way it was presented.

Try to avoid water with chlorine, such as a swimming pool.

Stop using shampoo with sodium lauryl sulfates. That's said to maybe help. And it can't hurt to try. Also I think the fact that men have their hair covered a lot during the day doesn't help. Oh well!
