ADOBE FLASH PLAYER on Internet Explorer
« on: September 04, 2012, 02:56:31 AM »
I seem to be having issues with adobe flash player on internet explorer on my new laptop.
Many times it suddenly tells me that i need to have ADOBE FLASH PLAYER installed to watch something. So I install it properly, and all sites that previously gave me a error message suddenly work normally. But then, a week later I can be using my laptop and suddenly I go to yahoo or youtube for example, and its not working and im told that I need to have ADOBE FLASH PLAYER, so i go through the installation again. And then 2 weeks later again.................

What can be the issue? When I go to my control panel, to 'programs and features', the first program always there is 'ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 11 ActiveX', so what triggers my laptop to suddenly require me to install adobe flash player, if its already there?

Thanks for any advise.

The real question is: Who uses internet explorer?!?!?

Are you using a company/university computer? That may be the issue. They sometimes reset settings, remove applications or delete user preferences at the end of a predetermined cycle.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times. It will probably be good for a week again, and then give me issues again as usual.

How can i check if its enabled for all browsers and windows? Thanks

disable the adobe add on on the browser then when you load a page that needs it it will ask you if you want to add it, just click yes for all browsers. Another idea is to download and install adobe flash from their website or from filehippo.com, and not when internet explorer asks you to install it automatically.
