Wouldn't you be getting sooo much more value out of the points if you used them for travel (instead of 1 cpp with GC's)?

SW rapid rewards is fixed value at 1.67 cpm on tickets. Some people don't travel so much, especially on southwest

that depends on the style some go for  cheaper, i have bought in outlet for 70 and some dont drop less than 120

Take a look at my location... I'm in the States for about 4 weeks every year and I don't do any domestic flying.
