Let's see how much actually comes in (pledges are nice but they don't pay the bills)
It's an unfortunate reality that they will not come away with anything close to the 4M after all is said and done. Plenty of pledges will not get paid and about half the announced total ends up going to TV airtime, studio costs and advertising. It is in the end a beautiful PR piece that brings a lot of goodwill and recognition/publicity (it is especially beneficial for the Chabad rehab center, Friendship circle and such programs).
