There have been many presidential assassinations. Sure security around the president gets tighter each time, but it doesn't really change people's daily lives. The nation is mush bigger than any man.
9/11 was entirely different and eaffected the nation on a much deeper level than a presidential assassination.

Also not sure I would agree with that notion. A presidential assassination would affect everyone as they now have a new president. (Think LBJ with Vietnam) But 9/11 primarily affected NYC, the Pentagon and the poor people that were on those flights.
Sure as a result of being attacked we engaged in two major wars but is that any different than Pearl Harbor?
