the same thing happened to me. Although it was when I was coming home from school. I only remember seeing ashes floating in the air.

Was home watching TV, when the breaking news came on.

I had plans to meet friends to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to our favorite Borders book store, at the WTC.

My current neighbor was a high-powered broker working on one of the high floors, got slammed into a wall when the plane hit, lost coworkers/friends.  To this day she doesn't like to talk about it.
