Good places to Travel in Europe during October

I am heading to Geneva in October for a week and would like to head somewhere else while I am on that side of the world.

Any ideas for a 2 day stopover?

I was actually thinking that. I don't think I am ready to go travelling around Germany yet. Something about it still rubs me the wrong way and I'd rather see some other places first.

If you didn't see venice, it might be a good idea, and its not so far from GVA.

You could also do some city-hopping if you are into that.

if you were never in prague its a very nice place to go to .
and if you are there already so vienna and budapest are not far away,

You can head towards Paris or Rome. Both are great places to explore. Geneva itself is quite beautiful to spend time in. Switzerland is best place to visit once in lifetime. I wish I will plan soon!
