Apparently there is a really convincing show on the discovery channel about the existence of mermaids. I know several people who now believe in mermaids. I have seen some great "documentaries" on some other phenomena. They used to tell you not to believe everything you read. Now, I think, we should be saying don't believe everything you see. Some of these movies/videos are pretty darn convincing. When someone has an agenda...and some talent...it can go a long way. There have been many actual scientific rebuttals to the 9/11 conspiracies, including this video. It always amazes me when I stumble across some pretty intelligent people who just eat this stuff up. I had a really smart friend in HS who was convinced that Bush was trying to doom us all. When 9/11 happened he found some stuff that pointed to Bush actually flying the planes himself, remotely, into the towers. I just don't get it.
