now that some of the other companies don't exist anymore, did anybody try the new herring from "moisheles"? great stuff, stiglits in cream sauce highly recommended

In my opinion, (and that of my wifes....yes she eats herring as well believe it or not) Moisheles is by far the best herring that Israel has had on the market in a VERY long time.
Its a little hard to come by but im sure someone on these boards can point you in the right direction..
I had it at a kiddush, luckily i got there one of the first because it was all gone very quickly.

In my days dubbys was unbelievable. this is going back 8-15 years ago. I wonder if he's still making it.

Doobie is still making believe it or not...he still has some good flavors, but i still think Moisheles is the best Israel has had yet. ! I met some chassidim at the Mir today who were ranting and raving about it. ...now that my friend is an endorsement !
