has anyone ever tasted the herring in Holland? I'm originally from there and am thinking about starting exporting it. looking for some feedback. (if anyone lives in the Monsey area you could come by and have a free taste, I get a small shipment every couple of months.)

I've had it and I've also had from Germany. I come from a family of hardcore herring lovers and conissuers people that take their herring very serious.
 Holland has some great herring, though you might want to test the market before you bring In massive amounts.

There's a guy in CH that imports herring from Holland. There's another guy named Edelman who sells it in Lakewood. Great Herring!

Ever since I left israel i have been struggling to find a herring that comes even close to it.
I actually brought him and froze 10 containers on a a recent trip to israel and was still by far the best herring I have ever had.

I'm also an avid fan of his Git Geffefert.

I also find Yoelis vegetable deluxe (or whatever he calls it) herring is very good!
