I'm gonna be getting the iphone 5 my question is which one.  The 16,32 or 64 the prices are with a upgrade 199,299, 399.  I've never had a iphone before so idk how much memory is needed for apps etc...

Obviously it depends how much music, videos, pictures and apps you are going to be putting on the phone.

       Do you take pictures a lot? Have a lot of music? Videos?

Don't forget that with every new iphones, the apps get better graphics, better performance and all that impact on the app's size... pictures/videos are also gaining quality ==> size. I went for the 32gb because I was finding myself deleting apps and pictures from time to time due to lack of space...

I don't take a lot of pics or vids and I want abt 250-500 songs and I will probably want some games but not too many apps.  How much does apps take up?

Then u should be fine with 16gb... but don't forget that nowadays, the big games (from EA or Gameloft) each weight ~1Gb...
the regular apps themselves are not that heavy (expect for the Apple ones: Keynote, Pages, Numbers, iMovie, iPhoto which are about 200Mb each...). Also keep in mind if u watch movies or tv shows that u transfer onto your iphone, it will take space... The amount of songs u mentioned will take about 1.5Gb

Dont get the blackberry. They have a new bug that corrupts the memory card.

If you are looking productivity u should go with the galaxy s3.

Back to the iPhone 5 . It should be called iPhone 4s2 or 4s extended. There not much new hardware.

I said theres not much new hardware. The a6 chip is not gonna be such a noticeable addition in my opinion. Being that i have had the a4 chipset and the a5 chip. Thibgs arent so crazy between each chipset

A6 is definitely more powerful than A5 (u get 1GB Ram - I call that improvement). A6 is twice as fast as A5 and A5 is twice as fast as A4. Also, having a new LTE chip is definitely a hardware upgrade.
