You can of course find many other store gift cards at your grocery store as well (Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) to basically get 10% cashback at those places too, and maybe earn a good chuck of fuel rewards if your grocery offers those.  The only thing I don't like about buying gift cards to actually buy things, is losing out on purchase protection benefits.

That's definitely true. But what's even better is to buy gift cards that are compatible on Paypal, Venmo, & Amazon Payments & other processors like these.

The 5% is G/G/D also. If it was on everything it would be another gold mine! 

If so then why do they bother listing it as 5 percent then another 5 percent when after 90 days its all 1 percent anyways? It sounds like one "special" not 2 separate ones....

The last time they had this offer I was easily spending $10-20k/month at Walgreens and CVS and I never shop there

Sign-up bonuses are a better option for most as they net even more than 10% on the spend and so require less work.  But they stop at a fixed payout for the price of an inquiry and new account.  Here the potential payout is far greater.  More work though yes, and definitely not for everyone.

I only assumed such because of the way the site listed it. Either they don't have too many smart people working for them or they're purposely making it sound better than it is...little do they know who they're dealing with
