EF vs KVS
« on: September 19, 2012, 10:01:43 AM »
Does anyone have experience with both of them? I'm looking to sign up for one of them, but I'm not familiar with them and I would like to get the one that has the most to offer.

Last year, FT member Lux had put together a set of comparison charts and posted them in the http://www.FlyerTalk.com/forum/travelbuzz/881745-expert-flyer-tool-compared-kvs-tool-per-administrator-expert-flyer-tool-5.html#post16826799 Thread.

There have been a few changes since then, which are reflected on the respective websites.

KVS beats EF by far if you would have to choose one of them, but the alert of EF is priceless, and the web access is also very important.

What's so great about KVS, is it about the airlines it covers, for award tickets, or is it the routing rules for cash tickets?

Whats the web access? Could I log onto either one of them from 2 computers simultaneously?

KVS is a program, not website.

You're welcome. Now, all you have to do is develop a decent iOS/Android app and add some kind of alert function, and you'd be unbeatable. :-)

You are welcome (to pm coupon)

but don't forget the end of the sentence:

but the alert of EF is priceless, and the web access is also very important.

So get cracking codes  ;-)

I think 1-800-882-8880 will do the trick

As can be seen from the comparison chart at the top of this thread, only the KVS Tool supports CX/BA/AY/JL/RJ/MH Award Availability (and has 100% Award Coverage across the entire OneWorld alliance):

I think 1-800-882-8880 will do the trick

Particularly if the OP is masochistically inclined :).

Any chance we'll ever flex dates (even just +/-1) with KVS?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Once you found the tickets ya, but if your searching availability you could really save yourself a lot of time by searching yourself and find the best routing available.

7-Day Award Availability searches have already been implemented for Star Alliance Awards.
We are exploring the possibility of implementing this for other alliances as well.

In the meantime, it's very easy to check adjacent dates using the dedicated Previous/Next Day buttons ( / ) in the KVS Tool.

Thanks man!

I think that will be the final straw and I will install Windows and KVS on my mac

It's a pain, though, as each time you click Previous/Next, you have to wait for an entire new search to be performed.
