Going to pull up this old thread.

I currently have an underwater case for my canon elph which goes to 10ft which is perfect for snorkeling. Now I am scuba certified and have 2 dive trips coming up. Instead of paying around 40 dollars each time to rent a camera I figure it's worth the investment to purchase a camera or housing for scuba.

I currently own the rebel t3i however the housing seems to cost over 1000 dollars, and I'm nervous to buy a Chinese knockoff for 400 dollars that can risk my camera. The GoPro seems more suitable for video and I prefer to shoot stills. I found from Intova a camera for 85 dollars that goes down to 130 ft. but it's hard to imagine it has good quality. (link below)

Without totally breaking the bank what's my best option?

Did you end up getting this camera? It is very reasonably priced.

I am looking for an underwater camera. Nothing too fancy or expensive. I like nice pics but I'm not so into taking them- basically a dummy camera.

Ended up getting an underwater case for my Canon elph. Does a great job for my needs which is to capture the moments and get decent pics. I got it for like 35 dollars on Amazon, used.
