But what's the solution, ban paid political advertising?  Probably a 1st amendment violation.
Instead of paying for political advertising, pay people to vote for you. That way everyone wins

Afterwards, the guy who's elected owes favors to all the big donors and businesses who helped him get elected, that stinks of corruption...

^

In a nutshell the fact that prevents any elected President from entering office free of bias and free of the burden of owing people/institution things.

Interesting... I guess the assumption is the the normal thing to do is vote Romney and now the question begs to be asked; why in the world would anyone vote Obama?

I await your reply. I am quite curious to know why you [perhaps] support Obama, or at least would come to his defense?

He hasn't been perfect, but has done many good things to get this country back on track. I hope he gets another 4 years to continue.

PS- the "Obama Phone" was actually a program started under President GWB http://www.examiner.com/article/gop-debunked-obama-phone-does-not-exist-program-started-2008-under-bush

One of the worst parts of obama presidency imho is the hating of the wealthy. America was always a nation where anyone can make it ! it was something we prided ourselves with - living the american dream, getting someone from nowhere, but theres this hatred of upper middle class and wealthy ppl now - that obama helped and fueled and its scary. The whole anti-wealthy movement is a socialist idea and frankly very unstable

That is my personal view. Along with the fact that I agree on social issues a lot more with Obama than Romney.

Glad you put in that [perhaps] as i am not voting Obama I just found it amusing that while most of the country seems to favor Obama, on this forum Romney is the given while Obama supporters have to defend themselves. Just an observation

Let's get some of the facts straight:

Most of the country is NOT in favor of Obama, if anything, it is tied. (And, I believe that by tomorrow night you will see that the majority are in favor of Romney)

Now, it is important to see just WHO it is that favors Obama:

  • Blacks
  • Hispanics
  • Unions
  • Gays
  • Liberals
  • About 30% of white Americans

70% of what you would call the "middle class American" are in favor of Romney. (20% of whom voted for Obama in '08, just to prove that they are not racist.)

What does that tell you?
