@Dan Seems like the pattern for 30k as opposed to 40k flights to/from Europe is when at least one flight is a second tier partner such as Air Transport or even Air Belgium operating for LOT.

Swiss operated by SBB (train) is 43k, not 30k. I'm assuming Dutch Bahn operating as United/LH is the same. Would have been good HC-type trick to save on mileage costs.

Hi, I booked a United  award ticket originating outside the US. Are there any cancellation fees if I want to redeposit my miles up until departure time?

Also seeing this on a bunch of routes. And I can’t (yet) see a pattern for why some show up and not others

They’ve already been playing this game for awhile by doing 15,600, 15.8k, 15.1k etc prices flights (and giving them @15k only to XN) to avoid partners. This blocking X is just a more confusing for the customer way to accomplish that. Seems like that’s part of the accomplishment here…?

I'm aiming to meet the Status Match requirements for United's MileagePlus program, which includes 18 segments and 6,000 PQP. I'll likely complete five or six segments and earn about 1,500 PQP. For the remaining qualifications, I'm considering the best strategy to accrue the rest. My current plan involves taking 7 to 8 round-trip flights, which would cost 5,600 points each PQF, to reach the necessary PQF. This should total less than 100,000 points for PQF. With an existing balance of 1,000 PQP points, these flights will add another 1,000 PQP, leaving me 4,000 points short. To address this, I'm thinking of signing up for a couple of credit cards and using them to earn the remaining points through spending. I believe it's 50 points for every $1,000 spent, so it would require a significant expenditure to accumulate the needed 4,000 PQP. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better approach?

https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly/mileageplus/offers/promos/SM2024.html PQP earned from conversion of other currencies, and/or credit card PQF or PQP do not count toward this offer.

So my best option is to spend 600,000 points?

Pqp is per dollar spent, I don’t want to spend 6000 bucks
