There’s no redeposit fee on mileage plus. Not a small possibility, most flights have standby passengers that will board after you’ll be cancelling.

You missed the point. Dont cancel (but dont check in)and the seat will be a "no show" which pays a $125 redeposit

They give away no-show seats at T-15 to standbys.

I am booking a flight (Basic Economy) for my child under my profile. It shows a free 1st checked bag. Will she be charged a bag fee (for the 1st checked bag) at the airport since she is not the primary cardholder (and I am not flying with her)? Also; do I need to pay for the flight with the United card? Because it's not indicating anything like that but I guess I can get hit with the fee at check in..... Thanks!

I'm looking to book 44K United miles ticket NYC to TLV for a group of 5 (with a stopover).
There are flights that show up when I search for 3 seats, that don't show up when I search for 5.
If I book for 3, will more award space open up, to allow adding the additional 2 reservations? Is there a way to check the availability?

Also what's the cancellation fee on a points-based international-reservation for United?

It's possible that more seats can open up, but there's no way to know if that'll happen.

Free cancelations on all award tickets.

PSA: United shows award flights on LOT Polish to/from TLV-NYC, but they are not bookable online/on-app.

Phone agents say those are not bookable as awards, despite those showing as available on the site!
Unfortunately, I only learned this after transferring a bunch of chase points to United.

I don't have any advice, but I was able to book last month a flight for next year. After I booked I noticed no more j awards seemed to be available. I don't really want it, just hoping they make a schedule change so can get the direct on UA
