Quick question: if I book a united awards flight but its operated by a partner airline ( Ethiopian ) do I get same flexible refundable cancelation policy as when it's a united flight?

Does United have a special agreement with COPA?
I see saver awards (G) operated by COPA but other partners are not showing it. ( I check LM and AC)

Yes. Copa used to be part of MileagePlus.

I just got an email about the million miler program, from 2027 they will remove the equal benefit from the companion, making them to become the million miler level, so if the main member is a 1K and is a 1 million miler the companion will only get Gold benefits not 1K

I've recently been pretty successful getting certain upgrades for free from United like economy plus etc. Thinking of trying my luck with an extra free checked suitcase. Has anyone ever been successful with that?

Can anyone tell me from real experience if someone is a 1k what are the real changes of getting upgraded (especially on ewr-tlv and domestic) and what type of upgrades are the most successful (point plus or paid or cpu..)
[expert mode on all ewr-tlv shows no availability.. dose it change with time?]

united now allows [domestic at least] upgrades to business using miles at 1pp [ime till now you could generally only use it for preferred seats and economy plus]

United app shows cheapest flight for a given date is $223, basic economy.
Kayak has it for $167, and Chase travel portal has it for $161 (which is the exact same price as a Delta flight that is showing up everywhere as $161, cheapest flight available.)

What gives?
