i was looking for some flights to Cairo, and see 4 Biz seats available on UA with Egyptair, but when i check on AC or ANA, they only show 3 seats available. its been going on for weeks now, both ways.

is it that UA is just showing 1 extra phantom seat? or do they really have access to different inventory?

I have searched and found the step by step but when I put in my information on United's website it doesn't come up free. I am trying to do ORD-PTY PTY-CUN CUN-ORD. It should come up as 35,000 points but it comes up as 50,000.

They are in 2 different zones.
PTY is Central America
CUN is Mexico
For the perk to be valid you will need that middle leg to be in the same zone.

If you do it with AC you should be able to do it with a free stop @ 40K PP.

flying on united dec 31 2019 tlv to ewr back on the jan 4 2020
will both flights count towards 2019? only 1? or none?

I just got the email - this is nuts! 18K essentially from 15K for PQD. Yes, there are more things that qualify for qualification but seriously? 18K. But the craziest part is 54 flights! Like what? I was pretty hardcore this year and I still only have 45.5 segments (and that is with the biz class bumps) which is essentially the same thing as flights. United has said they do not want me as a client. They want 24K dollar 1K fliers not 15K folks. Clear as day IMHO, unless you are a salesman flying them every other week at least.

Got this status match in July. United cancelled it after 90 days instead of 180. They refuse to honor this. Any ideas? Was planning on flying in December
