This used to work for paid tickets as well, but they now block your current flight from the menu so it appears you have to change and change back.

Yeah IIRC Southwest allows users to simply click a few buttons to get a refund of the fare difference...was hoping UA would offer something similar.

Seems crazy that their CS reps can't process a simple fare-difference-refund

Even pre-Covid, they had a option to refund the difference -$50 fee. One of their reps actually suggested to me switching dates back-and-fourth to avoid the fee.

Was the $50 fee for cash tickets, or mileage tickets, or both?

Gonna cross post here
Would I have an issue with crediting a flight taken on a Star Alliance partner but booked through United if I skipped the last leg? International flight, JFK-VIE-BUD on OS booked through UA.

Trying to determine if it's worth it to use business points to upgrade to silver status. I don't have a UA card. Will all flights marked as YN fare (costing in the 60-80k range) move down to X fare price e.g. 42.5k tlv-usa once I'm upgraded to silver, or not necessarily now with the variable pricing?

Are you able to use TravelBank on a award booking for taxes and fees (United metal)? I don't see the option to pay with TravelBank in the app.

any workarounds to the 30 day award travel cancellation fee?
Change it for later date then cancel...Prob is that I cant find same prices or itineraries to change it to as it was a price mistake, Any options?
TY!

I’ve managed to cancel within 30 days with no fee.
Either way, change to the cheapest flight to anywhere in the next year! Was your price mistake under 6K?! You can also add the difference in points and then cancel.

Is there anyway to transfer United points from one account to another account  in the same household (without paying fees)?

I earned Silver status for in 2022 for 2023, and now I have another flight coming up in the end of Dec which is going to be PQF # 9 and 10 so their not going to help me at all in 2022 and they will go to waste.
Is there any way to get these to post in 2023 as my first two PQF's so they dont go to waste?

Regarding the 500 PQP we earn for 12K spend- does that go by calendar year too or is that based on cardmember year?
