Sister is on last flight from CLE-NYC on United and they were delayed almost two hours due to  weather at destination earlier today so got backed up. Could not get flight in the air before crew needed to clock out so now they cancelled flight and only able to rebook tomorrow afternoon.

Does United have the ability to book on American or Delta flights with availability in the AM?

Is there any entitlement for compensation given ultimately it was the United crew that had to clock out...?

If I see availability on Aeroplan for a AC flight, but don't see on UA, will UA be able to book it on the phone?

If I flew the correct amount of miles to reach Premier Silver for 2019 but most of them were on partner flights, anything ( besides for flying more) that I can do before the end of 2018 to achieve the status?

The website is saying I need to spend 3,000 towards United or spend 25,000 on my United Credit card.

I deleted my post intentionally once you saw it.
It won't effect your CC/TSA

United is showing availability ZRH-GVA-JFK in J on Swiss, but when i search for just GVA-JFK leg separately, it doesnt show the same fight available.
if i book the ZRH-GVA-JFK, will i be able to drop the ZRH-GVA leg by calling a phone rep?
I believe you could do this with AA, but not sure if doable on UA.

With enough HUCA you can probably get them to book just GVA-JFK.

it's a married segment on a parter airline.  You've done it?

Oops, I was thinking about the partner aspect. But I still wouldn't say its impossible.

Also in general, when it doesn't show online its not always a real married segment, it can be a bug. You should search on other programs/EF to see if they're really married.

United just dropped the hammer! They are changing 1K rules for 2019, and OF COURSE NOT for the better!!

http://mileageplusupdates.com/

This looks good - BUT IT IS NOT! I know. As a 1K for many years now, GS loved their special boarding time, now they are watering down GS. As of September 18, 2018, Premier 1K® members are called to board during pre-boarding and Premier Gold members now board in Group 1.

This is bad - GS (which stands for God Status - I KNOW I KNOW), will not be happy that their God Status is being sullied with the riff raff. I have been hearing it from my GS friends already. If you have flown recently between hubs, like I do often, the 1 line, is longer than the 3 or 4 lines. How ill this help ANYONE???

Effective January 1, 2019, the Premier® qualifying dollars (PQD) requirement for Premier 1K® status will be raised from $12,000 to $15,000.

We’re adjusting qualification requirements for Premier 1K status with the goal of offering our most appealing program benefits to our most loyal customers and making these benefits, such as upgrades, more easily available.

Effective for the 2019 program year, we’re changing the way you earn upgrades that are in addition to the upgrades you earn with Premier® 1K® status. For every 25,000 Premier qualifying miles (PQM) or 30 Premier qualifying segments (PQS) after you qualify for Premier 1K status, we’ll add one Global Premier Upgrade into your account. We will no longer offer additional Regional Premier Upgrades for flight activity after qualifying for Premier 1K status.

So - overall, they are once again, pushing the envelope and making it harder and harder to be 1K, while watering down the overall value - BRAVO United!!!
