I have a Future flight Credit that's not eligible for ETC conversion (due to change fee being waived manually), can I rebook any flight then cancel the flight and request an ETC or it will only let me get a Future flight Credit?

i have a ETC for $200. I want to book flights for $180 and use my Card Benefits for free baggage. If I make a dummy booking for $25, then my ETC goes down to $175 and I put $5 on cc. Then I cancel my $25 booking and it becomes a new $25 ETC.
Is it as simple as I think? Easy workaround!

If you booked it then its booked under the price booked, call to have it ticketed.

If couple traveling with infant.
1) Lap child on BE would they seat us together? (I had very bad experience on Jet blue with reg ticket not even BE.)
2) If not lap child Im assuming they have to seat at least 2 together?

Is there a way to get the free baggage benefit immediately or within a day or two after getting approved for the Explorer card?
Is there any way out of waiting for the card to arrive? Flight will have been flown already by the time card arrives.
