I bought a ticket EWR-IST-TLV on Turkish J with United miles.

Last week I received a schedule change and new itinerary.  At the same time, my mileage balance went up by the amount of miles I had paid for that ticket.  When I look at the new ticket, it says method of payment: Miscellaneous Document, with a note at the bottom that says "remaining value of your previous ticket numbers xxxxxx was applied to this purchase".  At this point in time, I have paid nothing but the taxes for the ticket.

Do I need to be concerned about the validity of the ticket itself?
Is it likely this gets picked up in some sort of audit of mileage balances?

-1K.
Don't contact United at all about the ticket.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

How many plus points would it cost to get upgraded to J from EWR -TLV?
I'm currently gold and wondering if its worth trying to become platinum...
Is there any benefit other than 40 plus points?

It's 40 but chances are not high that you will get it anyway. The ticket you need to use it is also more expensive.

The reason to go for plat is better chances of upgrades domestic and that you can upgrade 8 companions to E+ (even to TLV)

E+ is not hard to get over the phone...
Is the baggage allowance the same?
Thanks

If I book with someone else’s travelbank, will I and others on my itinerary still get my status benefits?

Any way to remove a reservation from my trips on the app? I find it annoying that a reservation stays in my trips for a few days after the trip is completed, or if I add someone else’s reservation to my trips is stays there and I can’t remove it.

That’s besides the fact the app has been very buggy for me lately.

I’m 1k and flying with 4 others. EWR to TLV. Right now 1st and premium and sold out. Are some of the seats just blacked out or they have all been sold?

if my UA mileage account gets audited and closed for any reason, is there any risk to me aside from losing my miles? is there any way they can g-d forbid report to my credit? and can they ban my passport? just theoretical.

Does UA have the ability to credit customers the difference in price if an award ticket goes down in price. For example, I book a ticket for 52K miles, and the price goes down to 45K a week later...can/will UA issue you a refund for the 7K difference?

I know I can cancel the ticket and rebook at lower price, but in some cases I don't want to take that risk.

What risk? Just change the date to any random one, and change back a minute later. No greater risk than doing nothing.
If you’re flight wasn’t available and you’re hoping for it to open up after you cancel, I can hear your concerns, but if it’s currently available for a lower price, it’s a no brainer…
Obviously, if you have points sitting around, just book the new one first and then cancel the old one.

I used to think the same as you, but I have personal experience with this exact scenario: When I made the change online there was a ticketing error and I had to call UA (it wouldn't allow me to make any further changes online), there were long hold times and while I was on hold the price changed. It was a disaster.

So my original question (regarding fare difference refunds) still stands.

I'm the past I clicked change flight and searched for the exact same flight and "changed" to the "new" flight
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

If it involves an infant or unaccompanied minor, you’re definitely right.

This used to work for paid tickets as well, but they now block your current flight from the menu so it appears you have to change and change back.
