If I book a United economy ticket through chase portal does it have the same free changes and cancellation (before 30 days) like when I book direct with united? (I'm permier silver if that makes a differnece
Paid tickets in economy have free changes even after 30 days (and recently awards too).
You’d have to make the changes directly with chase travel which is a pain!

Thanks - there's the catch- Chase :-)
I meant that you can only cancel if the flight is more then 30 days away. So I can change the date and then cancel with chase to?

Is this paid flight from EWR to TLV refundable to credit card or only to a Voucher that must be used by the person with the same name as the one who booked it? Just trying to understand the difference between Economy and Economy Partially refundable for a revenue ticket.

United raised their price to upgrade your status. Last year, I had Gold, and was offered to buy up to Platinum for around $1200. This year, the offer is for $4,415!!
Upgrading to platinum would give me 40 plus points which would be enough for an upgrade to business when flying to TLV, but even that is not guaranteed, and definitely not worth paying $4k+
Wondering how much they are charging anyone with platinum, to upgrade to 1k, which would give an additional 240 plus points

I have silver status and got offered to buy up to GOLD for a whooping... $3647!
Insane, I'm not sure who they think is paying that.
BH my silver status has been doing just fine upgrading me to First 24 hours before on domestic flights including tonight- EWR-ORF

What is the cheapest way to silver status these days? After the refreshed thresholds and rules looks like you either have to spend a fortune for PQPs or fly a ton

i got the same offer from gold to platinum but my "only" price is $2400

the question is how long does it last? only 2023 or even 2024?

im really tempted to pull the trigger....

Whats the possibility of getting a upgrade on a TLV to EWR route with plus points? The flight is this week and it looks like there are 8 business seats and 4 premium seats available.
PM me for airline compensation help. Your case is not lost!

Why wouldn't they upgrade if they don't sell out the seats?

There is also a order of who get upgraded first. It makes a difference which status the passenger has, and also the status of the account whose plus points are being used. So even if the points are coming from a global account, if the passenger has lower status than someone else, the global to higher status will be first...
Also, anyone in premium economy trying to upgrade to biz, will be higher on the list before paid coach tix, even if the statuses are higher...
