I'm getting a sales pitch from a broker claiming his firm produces conservative double digit returns, using a strategy like this

I used to sell covered calls on a long term position I was in. One month there was a large upswing in the stock and my options were exercised.

true. Risk is putting an upside limit on gains.
Question is, these guys claim to use this (coupled with dividends) as a primary income strategy. Does the strategy, and projected return, make sense?

I do options on the side. That's really where the money is. It's a great game...
