Anyone questioning whether financial markets are in a bubble should consider what we witnessed in 2017:• A painting (which may be fake) sold for $450 million.• Bitcoin (which may be worthless) soared nearly 700% from $952 to ~$8000.• The Bank of Japan and the European Central Bank bought $2 trillion of assets.• Global debt rose above $225 trillion to more than 324% of global GDP.• US corporations sold a record $1.75 trillion in bonds.• European high-yield bonds traded at a yield under 2%.• Argentina, a serial defaulter, sold 100-year bonds in an oversubscribed offer.• Illinois, hopelessly insolvent, sold 3.75% bonds to bondholders fighting for allocations.• Global stock market capitalization skyrocketed by $15 trillion to over $85 trillion and a record 113% of global GDP.• The market cap of the FANGs increased by more than $1 trillion.• S&P 500 volatility dropped to 50-year lows and Treasury volatility to 30-year lows.• Money-losing Tesla Inc. sold 5% bonds with no covenants as it burned $4+ billion in cash and produced very few cars.
Interesting quote in one of my favorite newsletters:
Bitcoin (which may be worthless) soared nearly 700% from $952 to ~$8000.This is the mother of all bubbles, BTCUSD could still go higher before the day of awakening comes, could go to worthless .

The current quote is $8926 , are you a buyer at this price? You can use Coinbase and a few others , though I am no bit-coin expert.

Here is a weekly chart of BTCUSD as of tonight 11-26-17 as Parabolic as it gets, all parabolic moves eventually reverse all the wayhttps://www.tradingview.com/x/WAkfYZKN/Monthly chart belowhttps://www.tradingview.com/x/g1wy9w4H/
Please define parabolic. Google couldnt help me understand...
When prices arc upward at ever-increasing speed, like almost in a straight vertical line, they form a parabolic curve, which should cause us to feel ever-increasing caution. With parabolic moves we never know when the final top will arrive because of the frenzy of buying driving the move, but we know that vertical moves cannot be sustained, and ultimately we can expect that the parabolic will collapse, with prices falling as quickly as FASTER THAN they advanced.
The focus now centers on CME Group Inc., the world’s biggest exchange group, which is expected to launch a futures contract based on bitcoin as soon as the second week of December. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission is reviewing the exchange’s plan.
Thoughts on TM anyone (especially our resident technician)?
Thoughts on VALE?Had nice run-up over last six months, peaked early September before pulling back, and now inching towards the September high.
VALE looks good ,if it goes above 11.70 and stays there, next target is $12.40 and $15 ill use $9.56 stop for now
Strong uptrend from $103, needs to close above $128.25 , then next target $135, ill use $118 stop for now.
Does that mean that when it hits those targets you update your stop? If yes - to what? Or does it mean anything else?Any good option strategies to use?
