Strong resistance at $123-$124, if it closes above $124 will go much higher, ill start with a trailing stop of $113 but only if takes the resistance level first,. Weekly chart

Thoughts on VALE?

Had nice run-up over last six months, peaked early September before pulling back, and now inching towards the September high.

Keep an eye on VALE here,check the chart below, it closed at $11.56 there is a very strong resistance 10 cents higher at $11.66-70,if it takes this resistance with a strong surge in price and closes up, then up we go, use $9.50 stop, if it fails then a correction again.

I think @ADG was correct about TEVA bottoming out @ $10.85, got a buy signal yesterday at $12.60 , currently @ $13.35 , I am buying half a position on any small pull back today. STOP @ $10.50

Sold TEVA today at $18.02, + $5.42 profit per share.

Agreed, speculation is about putting the odds in your favor, and if you were wrong get out fast, your first loss is your smallest loss in trading, investing is very different.

Last few trading days broke above $11.70 and currently intraday above $12. Very nice move over past 6 months. Updates?

Strong uptrend from $103, needs to close above $128.25 , then next target $135, ill use $118 stop for now.

Would you write Jan 18 135 covered calls here? Pricing seems to indicate little conviction that it takes 135 by expiration date, but looks like the option market believes it takes it easily in Feb.

Would you write Jan 18 135 covered calls here? Pricing seems to indicate little conviction that it takes 135 by expiration date, but looks like the option market believes it takes it easily in Feb.

It is not a bad idea, but I would rather just sell half the position straight out , and keep the raised trailing stop on the rest, as said, do not get married to a position, always take some profit and let the rest ride . Good luck.

I am going to place chart links to trades I am currently in, you can check on the stocks forum where I posted these trades
1. I am long all the precious metals, palladium in particular was my favorite trade that made a fortune actually better than bitcoin, I am selling half my positions and keeping the rest with a trailing stop, the pm's are coming back .

Palladium daily chart  held a long term  position from $495 which i sold today at $1107, the other half I bought close to $900 I am keeping open with a 998$ trailing stop.

This metal is 4 times rarer than gold, in the last few years went from $2400 to $870 last month, I went long a small position at $890 now it is at $965, if it breaks above the strong resistance of $1030 then it can go to $1200 very fast as a first target. Ill buy more above $1030.

1. I said a few weeks ago that the Israeli shekel was one of the strongest currencies out there when USD/ILS was at $3.55 and if it breaks below $USD 3.49 down we go, it did though the Bank of Israel tries their best by selling shekels in the open market we are at $3.44 today , first down target is $3.40

2. USD/NOK Norwegian Kroner  short from 8.65  now at 8.065  I am shorting a much larger position here, the NOK moves with oil and oil has been strong lately, this trade has the potential for a big down move.
