Would you care to answer the question? How are you "holding" VIX?

I am unaware of any way to "hold" VIX. Though I am aware of products one can trade which are based on the VIX.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I would not have bought.

But I will tell what I am holding... VIX- because you should have known massive corrections would be coming.
If you have "known", than you should of shorted the S & P 500

Any thoughts on Twitter's surge in response to  it's earnings? Would you sell or hold?
Iím long TWTR since Aug 2015, definitely not selling now that itís finally starting to perform, might even add more if the broad market pulls it down a bit more like it did today.

Some shameless credit taking here!
Roughly 6 months ago (on Aug 18 2017 to be exact) we (@jungarmtl, @ExGingi and yours truly) had a discussion on whether to buy baba or amzn after it dipped 10% at the time,
(The discussion started here if youíre interested:
if it's for long term i would say $BABA stock is a long term potential growing stock
AMZN embodies the entire BABA model and then some. Their cloud business itself is a huge growth potential. So if you see growth potential in BABA (which I understand, but am super skeptical, I mean it's China after all, Mr. Ma could just disappear one day!) I'd rather buy AMZN at this recent 10% dip even with its ridiculous P/E ratio which is a non factor at the rate Bezos is reinvesting.
Well, fast forward 6 months, amzn wildly outperformed baba by some 30%

point being, amzn has now dipped again I think itís a major opportunity to buy it youíll thank me in 6 months

I dont know why you had to wait for the dip to get this major opportunuity when on Jan 18-3 weeks ago you could of bought it for the same price. and if than the underlyings didnt push you to buy it than, what exactly changed in this 3 weeks....?

And 5 years ago it was a quarter of the price.... Point is its been steady growth all along, and we can assume it'll continue, a week ago it would have been smart to buy to, but now it's on sale.

Sure. but if you expect it to go up 30-50% in next 6 months because of earnings which is $1700-$2000 a share it was worth buying 2 days ago also as nobody knows when the dip is coming and it could of gone up to $1700 and than dip to $1500 so you would of lost the gain... point is that if you believe in its huge upside than need to have guts to say BUY eeven when its going up up up without a dip

Not enough of a "sale" to pull the trigger IMHO. I would take a second look once dividend yield goes above 3%.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Just remeber that assuming growth will continue doesnt support the price because if growth is moderating just a bit than p/e multiples will freefall and even with much higher profit price will still be lower.
and remeber they own already 43% of ecommerce market share and dont expect them to own 70% because than government will brake up monopol.
But.. tey still have  alot of room from the brick and mortar stores. How much????????? Million dollar question

Huh??
When you shop for a car you donít check around who can give you the best price for the make and model you want?
Iím sure you do!!
But why??
If you believe the type of car you settled for is a good car and you find great value in it, why not just buy it from the first dealer you bump into without comparing prices?? 🧐

Don't trade stocks like you buy a car.
