100% And for investors I think it is better to just buy an index fund that tracks the S&P 500 than invest in individual stocks. With individual stocks you might make more or lose big, on bad earnings, changes in fundamentals, strikes etc.  I was never an investor, I do much better trading short to medium term and works well for me.

I see the market is having a sale on stocks.

Do you think the sale will be extended and they'll slash prices even more or now's the time to buy?

I think this dip will continue to go down for a bit while the market corrects itself, my best advice is to buy some precious metals now since they will be going up during this dip in the stock market!

+1 itís the way to go to win in this market IMO

The December market downfall has squeezed every last bit of dovishness out of Powell, heíll only get more hawkish from here, he craves rate hikes, and heíll find a way to get it, and hawkishness has a bigger downward impact on precious metal vs index funds

Palladium, a PM , more than doubled since the FED started raising rates and is making new all time highs closing above $1300.

Palladium, a PM , more than doubled since the FED started raising rates and is making new all time highs closing above $1300.
Common, Palladium is a total outlier driven entirely by low supply and high demand for car parts, nothing to do with the broader market or interest rates, all other PMs tend to underperform the markets when hawkishness is in the air

And as it relates to Palladium, wait until one of these car manufacturers announces that theyíre switching from Palladium to Platinum.. donít think itíll reach any new all time highs then, itís one announcement away from a huge permanent drop, although that might never happen.

You are 100% correct, I started buying palladium in quantity in 2008 from $200 all the way to around  $400 , but I sold too early at $680 and $785. I do not hold any palladium . platinum is worth a look at the current prices.

At what price did you buy? There is strong resistance between $330-$340 and earnings are out next week. Maybe sell half of your position now if you have a good profit.

I bought at 286. I donít understand the difference at what price I bought this specific stock at. If itís a good investment then Iíll keep it if itís not then Iíll sell.. am I missing something ? Also what justifies this stock being at 115 P/E ?wth.

Should have bought Phun today with a stop right under my price I paid. Was thinking  about it. Shoots. I guess I need more understanding on the stop loss and stocks in general before I do higher risk stocks.

I asked at what price to see if you have a decent profit, earnings coming in a week, taking a partial profit by selling half is always good, and remember NFLX was a $15 stock in 2013, up all the way to $420 in 2018 and now at $320, the 115 P/E means investors and funds have high expectations for future growth and are willing to pay up.
