How about "missing the boat" on stocks that I already hold, pay decent dividends, non-correlated asset class, but didn't add to my holdings at sale prices due to my position size being at maximum I'm comfortable as a percentage of my portfolio. Up over 60% from March low (which would have made the dividend yield over 9%)...

Name a few. You gotta give a little stretch in when seeing such a bloodbath/opportunity.

What's your take on why the market seems to doing extremely well under these circumstances?

Greed. Pure and simple.
There's nothing happening economically to prop up such gains.

This is why I am on the sidelines. Doesn't make sense but maybe someone will have something we are missing.

Maybe. At this point I'm just cringing every day I see that green arrow.
To me it feels like for every point gained now, it'll crash by 1.25/1.5 when the inevitable happens.

The market believes that everything will go back to mostly normal in the near future, that leaves just a hole from a few months that got filled by the bailout and the Fed.

I guess -4/5% GPD growth is a good thing. Market next quarter should skyrocket with -20/25% GDP growth.
