SNAP up more than 50%. What's the great accomplishment? They had their first profitable quarter ever. WOW.

They have been losing money for 5 years and now that they cracked a profit let's run up the multiples to the sky.

It’s stupid and speculative, but the idea is that if their user base is growing and they can bring home a profit, then there’s hope that they can further monetize hundreds of millions of daily active users and grow profits, increasing the value of the company and thus the stock.

I would suggest shorting AAL... I'm sure their stocks are about to plummet.

I did.
Then jumped in on SOPA
Bought some SOPA when it was really low yesterday. It’s up about 40% since then (4.59 now). A few weeks ago it was at $18/share and at one point even higher than that. Any and all commentary welcome. Thanks

I wouldn’t suggest to buy now, ask your local orthodox dedicated ddf stock forum poster, but SOPA now up over 50% since I bought some yesterday. @ $5.12
I’m guessing pull out some money and keep some os the safest, any suggestions to do otherwise?

I'm wondering if PTON is worth a look now or if it is to late already. It is a good disruptive type company, that seems to have many loyal followers/subscribers. It seems like investors soured on it because of the issues it had, but is still a good company. Maybe the news today is enough to give a new face for the market and can have a good run higher. OTOH, stock is up more than 50% just this week alone....

I have also seen noted that a short squeeze may be in play if shares keep rising....

Not exactly a stock tweet, more of a macroeconomic observation. Anyone thinking that we are going to see higher rates of any significance, read the following tweet and let it sink in.

Almost a certainty

Politicians have perfected the art of can-kicking, and if markets can remain irrational for longer than you or I can remain solvent, you bet that is true when it comes to governments manipulation of interest rates and fiat currencies.

How does a default of the world's reserve currency look?

It looks really really bad. We've discussed this before, going back to when you were insisting it was absurd to expect inflation, and I'm pretty sure nothing I can say will convince you to change your opinion that this can go on forever with no repurcussion.

The can has already been kicked pretty far and it cannot go on forever. Maybe we're not close to doomsday but doomsday is inevitable- growth alone cannot get us out of this mess. And the only other option is real hyper inflation, which is equivalent to default

Almost a certainty
I think the number may look worse then it is. 300trn is about 350% world gdp. Keep in mind this is all debt including people’s houses. Which I think on average is 10-20 times earnings.
Not saying this is healthy or there is no danger… the worrisome part is the cost of the debt which if correct is close to 15% of global gdp
I dont get how 1% rate hike =6 it should be 3.
