Average Joe able to buy it?

"This split would give our employees more flexibility in how they manage their equity in Amazon and make the share price more accessible for people looking to invest in the company," an Amazon spokesperson said.

Fractional share trading is ubiquitous at this point (though I am not sure if limit and stop orders are available with Fractional share trades).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

It is the mindset involved for the small investor.
Owning 10 shares at 100 is lot better than owning 1 share at 1000.  ;)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Seems like those who bought VYGR when it was recommended here did pretty well with it.

120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-

Anyone brave enough to buy Chinese stocks on the dip yesterday, could be very happy today. BABA up ~25% (still down more than 20% over the past month and more than 50% over the last 12 months).

ETA:

IMHO China is not investable. It might be tradeable. Highly risky.

Robinhood allows trading crypto but they only allow a few. One is etherium classic ETC. It’s up 46% over the last week. Other cryptos are up but nothing close. Anyone know anything about ETC?

It hit $8.70 today. Was less than $3 when recommended, IINM.

This is where I saw it first:
Looks like TARA is starting to perform. Another hopeful, VYGR, is not doing anything yet but my research is telling me to start accumulating

Either you're just trolling or you don't understand the small cap bio sector. TARA is down relative to November just like every other stock in that sector. So was VYGR before they made their news public. These are small companies that burn cash until they hit a big milestone. If your timeline and patience is too thin this is not the right sector to be in. I have alerts for every one of these companies and a rough make it or break it exit date.

I was just pointing out two stocks were mentioned. I don't follow either.
It reminds me of going to horse races and only hear about the winners. I am not calling anyone out but that is what a lot of this thread is about.

Don't take this as an attack on you but as a general observation.

These are a lot like horse races. You keep rooting for the ones with potential until it wins or gets shot behind the stable. Not at all like blue chips or even value stocks

It helps to know the names in the race, and also to have some idea of their potential.

The idea behind speculating, the way someone once put it to me, is that rather than hoping to make 10% on 100% of your money, you are hoping to make 100% on 10% of your money (while the rest is safe and secure earning a safe rate of return).

And now to the question of the day, possibly to be addressed to @Dan who is so proud of his hometown. Why did CLF soar today?

BUMP.

Anything news today that wasn't around a week ago?

Don't have the answer to your question, but sometimes they just take larger steps in the direction they're going.
