Vanguard
I am a fan of vanguard as they are a non profit etc., but IMO their online platform does not come close to etrade.

Their online platform does not come close to deserving to be called an online platform.

Are there any brokerages that can be loaded with a debit card? (for someone out of the country)

BBIO - BridgeBio Pharma Inc
New drug up for approval on Nov 29.
It's for cardiac ameloid. There is already a drug for that, and this one will compete with it. It decreases mortality and hospitalization. It will have a market.
It's very likely to be approved. The FDA is even forgoing the step of getting an advisory counsel.

The stock price has been falling lately, so something is up with the company.  But there's another company poised to give BBIO $500M if the drug is approved. I guess to partner in manufacturing it.

Probably the earnings miss 5 days ago.

That should be huge for a company of this size.
Thanks for the idea

this could be very valuable information, how do you know this? is there a way to find out when the FDA will approve a drug?

FNMA up another 10% today.

This is one volatile stock this week

Any thoughts on FNMA as a long term investment?

What do you recommend? When to buy and sell?

The FDA website has information on when an approval determination will be made.
People watching these things can get some hints from some actions at meetings in advance of the approval day.
But the big way to guess is to read  the information about the drug and it's clinical trials. And to understand the disease it treats and the market for the drug.
I have a doctor friend who makes guesses about if the FDA will approve a drug.
What do you recommend? When to buy and sell?
The investing part of this is my weak part in making money off these guesses.

Often a stock has a pop in price after it's drug is approved.
For BBIO so far I bough the stock  because options are expensive.  The idea is to sell during the pop after the approval.

In a small company like this one, they ususally close trading on the day.  Friday nov 29.  The news comes out on Friday and the pop, if it happens,  is seen at the next market opening.
