Anyone follow/subscribe to motley fool?
One time once I subscribed after reading this long article and they’d reveal the stock once I subscribe, and it was artista networks (ANET) which is doing good actually, but I wonder if they consistently hit the mark if others here ever follow their options
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

My experience : I read some really convincing article and it required I pay a month subscription to read the rest and see the stock pick. I ended up investing in that stock (Arista Networks -ANET) and I have gained 600$ YTD so far bli Ayin hara.
And I canceled the subscription within the month and got a refund.

I don't but now that you mention it I did some research and I'm seriously considering it so thank you,

here is what I found about them:
The average returns of stocks recommended by the Motley Fool's Stock Advisor service have been significantly higher than the market average. Since its inception in 2002, the service has achieved an average annualized return of 32.2%, compared to the S&P 500's 6.13% annualized return over the same period. As of 2024, the average pick from the Stock Advisor portfolio has yielded a total return of about 744%, far exceeding the broader market’s performance

I followed them for a bit, but overe time I realized that it's all a gimmick. Firstly anyone who puts out daily analysis of companies 5% swings is just plain... Secondly their self analysis about track record is very slanted. I don't have data on that but it definitely seems so. Lastly, if you are going to follow them, realize that they will publish conflicting reports, which is actually a good thing as it shows a range of opinions, but it takes away from the easyness.

If you are looking for a similar level of guidance, read this book https://www.amazon.com/Little-Book-Still-Beats-Market/dp/0470624159 and then follow his directions. It has a much higher level of accuracy, and most importantly it guides you on how to stay the course.

Regardless of what you do, any time you are making investments based on other analysis, you will be stuck. Because investing $100 and getting fantastic returns at the end of the day will not be a lot of money. It requires conviction (or ignorance) to make a large investment, the size required to have an impactful return, something hard to get from a 3 minute article.

How is that ok? Halachically or ethically?

As far as I know, it should not be a problem to share a suggestion a professional suggests to you; they do not own it, halachically and legally (the copyright is only if you use the same words...).

Correct me if im wrong

Sharing the tip is one thing. Good luck sharing the reasoning without copy pasting directly

Paying for a subscription and them disseminating the information you paid for to the public is, IMO, ethically questionable, if not downright halachically impermissible. AYLOR

If you insist on looking for easy leads, try tip ranks and find someone with a good track record and look at their recent upgrades and downgrades. It is free with an etrade account, possibly others. There is no secret sauce, and no reason to follow motley fool over anyone else, they just attract people by charging for their advice.

Disclaimer: This is not recommended, and statistically you will not beat the market average.

How is this not a problem? Their business is to sell subscriptions of their stock picker service if I would tell everyone their recommendations most wouldn't bother subscribing. If someone gives a course on a subject and charges a thousand dollars and I go and then open my own course on same subject which out of the goodness of my heart I give for free, is that right?

I do not have an etrade account, I use Schwab. I checked the Tip ranks site +332.9 % total return since 2016. I checked the motley fool stock advisor site +915.27% total return since 2002 so they definitely seem to have more xp. Now how does the motley fool statistically not beat the market avg? I am assuming you mean the S&P 500.
