That is not what leave for5-10 years means.

Why should I be backing up a claim I never made while you have moved your claim and still shown nothing to back up either your original claim or the new one?

How about you back up your claim or we assume it is as ignorant as the original.

Regarding the method for those who wanna do it lets make it short...
You have a person come in 2018 and say I saved 30-40-50k over the past 2-3-4-5 from 2015-16-17-18 where should I invest it and in 2028 will have positive returns? The answer is (going forward) in 2015 you should of taken the extra $100 every week and invest it and not wait to accumalate a nice chunk and than start searching another few months/years for a good BUY LOW SELL HIGH investment

Can you teach me the aleph bais how to get started?
Go to Fidelity, Charles Schwab, T Rowe Price, Vangaurd and you can set up automatic investments in Index Funds, Its usually called Equity 500 Index fund or something similar Its very easy
And the main thing, Statements go straight in the garbage (you can review it for errors but not for the amounts)
Come back in 10 years from now than look on the  statement and let us know the results  ::)

Btw you are wrong about the dollar cost averaging part of it too
https://blog.alliancebernstein.com/post/en/2014/07/is-dollar-cost-averaging-the-cure-for-market-jitters
Its definitley wrong to post here this report. As this is for someone who has his chunk of money available to invest, than investing at once will win you most of the years even though it comes with considerable higher risk and volatilty as the report itself notes. But someone who starts to invest than its DEFINITLEY worth to invest every small amount immediatley than to accumalate a considerable chunk and than invest it

You were saying how cost averaging was better than (i used the word correctly here) lump sum and therefore when i showed you that there were ten year periods with losses it wasn't what you meant. Now you are changing again?

Either you are having difficulty expressing what you really mean or you don't know what you are talking about and keep on changing. Both mean that there is nothing useful to be taken from what you wrote here and should be ignored.
