I think the best trading or  investing method is one where you combine fundamentals with technicals and sentiment indicators.

What do you think about USO ?  Think oil will go up in May / June?  Break $14?

I do think oil will continue to rise. Just curious, why do you ask about USO? Is thst a good way to bet on moves up? Personally I like UWT for up and DWT for down bets.

Oil did a nice move from $42.40 to $66.50 since the beginning of the year, a good uptrend, but better to see if does correct a little here for a better entry price. A little overbought here.

Up 10% after hours. But beating earnings by nearly 70% is what I wowed about

Nice! You don't think it's worth holding for longer? Or do you anticipate a dip to get back in on?

I trade short term, my average holding is days to weeks, but sometimes when I see a strong winner I keep it and use a trailing stop.

Interesting read. Posted here rather than interesting articles, as it is more investment related than of general public interest.

Quote
The reason companies arenít investing more aggressively in plant and equipment and technology is BECAUSE we have the most accommodative monetary policy in the history of the world, with the easiest money to borrow that corporations have ever seen. Why in the world would management take the risk ó and itís definitely a risk ó of investing for real growth when they are so awash in easy money that they can beat their earnings guidance with a risk-free stock buyback? Why in the world would management take the risk ó and itís definitely a risk ó of investing for GAAP earnings when they are so awash in easy money that they can hit their pro forma narrative guidance by simply buying profitless revenue? Why in the world would companies take any risk at all when the Fed has eliminated any and all negative consequences for playing it safe?
