I bought ATM, 587.50 when it was trading at 587.50
Whats your exit strategy- waiting for earnings or get out earlier if the price is right?

Get out pre earnings if price is right, otherwise hope for post earnings decline.

There is always a trigger for a crash.  Coronavirus?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Dow needs to be down 4 digits before the word crash even comes up. You need to readjust your training, Dow is not at 10,000 anymore. Even a 500 point drop is just ~1.7%

No one said the DOW is crashing. Many are predicting a crash for sometime now. If one does happen there is always a trigger to point to.

Maybe you need to readjust your reading comprehension?  ;)

Interestingly GDX is down despite GLD being up.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Rolled down from 587.5 to 545, reducing my risk by ~60%

Hi all.

I do not know more than the very basics regarding stocks/funds/etfs, etc. For tax purposes I opened and funded a solo 401K. I am looking to split the money between 2-4 stocks/funds/etfs etc. and let it sit for the next 30 years.

I am willing to take moderate risk in exchange for growth.

Looking for some picks.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks.
Wait for May

Wait for May

Which is when the time tested strategy of "sell in May and go away" might be employed. ;)

While I understand the temptation to wait for the election results to shake out, if Biden/Bloomberg get the nom then market might overheat even more and be an even more expensive time to buy. IMO, I’d invest some now and some later. So if market goes up, at least you got some cheaper, and if market sells off you can then buy cheap.

If Biden gets the nom, why would the market overheat?

because he is not a socialist. Market jittery at the prospect of a warren or sanders. The S&P sank and then rose correlated with Warren's rise and fall in the polls (inverse relationship).

Sold about 1/3 of tsla holdings at 590. Weird, now I'm not sure if I want it to go up or down.
