Why? What ever happened to buy on the rumor and sell on the news?

I don't know the specifics of this, just adding a word of caution that nothing is ever certain, and even if and when you know something for certain, not always does the market react the way you would have thought.
This is the rumor, not the news

My philosophy is buy on the analysis, sell on the pump.

Most of the stocks I'm watching took a huge fall at about 11:35 today. Was wondering the same yesterday about TSLA, and what was up at 11:35 today?

Ready for a blood bath today?

Or an additional spike in safe haven assets such as Gold (and mining stocks) and US Treasuries (and ETFs such as TLT, ZROZ)
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I sold all my index funds last week and will get back in eventually. Knew this was going to happen as you can’t have an all time high stock market when there’s massive supply chain issues.

i say its going to be extremely short term. i would not do any drastic moves right now.

Don’t know how long it will take, but I think there’s plenty more for the market to drop to account for the economic effects of COVID19.

And pricing in the prospect of a Sanders presidency?

And then one steps in to buy when there's blood on the streets. Money is made by buying at a bargain. When all is said and done there will be quality companies which will be selling at bargain prices. The trick is to buy the right ones at the right price.

Yup. Sure feels nice owning it on a day like today.

Not sure where this goes once it gets approved but I'm definitely along for the ride

Exactly.

I'm keeping my eyes on good names. Once P/E drops below 10 and/or dividend yields get very attractive (as long as I don't determine there's a fundamental risk to the business due to the economic slow down that is unfolding due triggered by COVID-19) I intend to pull the trigger. Sitting on dry powder, for now, is the way to go.

Bloodbath beginning?

Even gold is down today. Almost everything other than treasuries.

Is it time for some SPXS in the portfolio for hedging (really dangerous derivative product)?
