I guess what I am asking is where is the goods news looking 6-12 months out?
you are asking a broad question encompassing the whole US economy, every sector and every company will recover differently or not at all.
Travel sector will have a slow road to recovery as we have seen AA dump a sizable chunk of its fleet today, these industries carry high day to day costs and many more issues. to answer your question i believe the current prices reflect that.
The good news is this will probably be over in 6-12 months and whoever was strong on main street before Covid will emerge even stronger with bigger market share then ever. except the few industries that will have long road to recovery as i mentioned Travel as well as some energy...
