The biggest or second mistake the Robinhoodies can do now is to get nervous and sell for a loss, If your positions are in a loss rather shvitz it out. Sooner or later the market will come back.

But in today's political climate the firms will be blamed as the culprit, and the hoodies will be celebrated as the victims of corporate greed, expecting a bailout

My QQQ option puts are up 45%.
Are we at the top of the cliff now looking down at the next 20%-30% drop? If this is the case I hold the position til returns are at 1,000%+.
Or is this a temporary dip and I should pull out before the jolly Robinhooders drive it up again?

Obviously no one knows the answer- I'm wondering about the general sentiment of the drop.

Busted bubble and stable economy hit by a sudden hurricane are not the same. I think we can agree that stronger companies with good balance sheets will survive it. Question is just how long the recovery will take.

Not the people buying HTZ because “we want in on the action” a strategy will likely yield good results if you have one, not if you “follow the action”

Seems like you were correct.

My only hope at this point is that while the market was due for a correction, there was no need for what happened today. Hopefully it will soon jump back. כך בלעו כך פלטו.

Would you put in money in the market now on that bet?

A friend of mine told me in the morning that he's too nervous and he thinks to flee with whatever gains he's left with, and then in the same sentence he said there's so much opportunity today, where should I buy into?..
If you have no real idea of what is going on then rather stay put.

Am I the only conspiracy theorist thinking that someone is somehow playing and manipulating the market?

Why would people all of the sudden decide to sell off at this level?

And who are these people? All investors I spoke with today are saying that they did not sell. They just had their position go down the drain. So who are these mysterious sellers?

I am also struggling to understand today's drop. Reportably its bc of a spike in Covid cases. But if we were able to recover from the last few months wouldn't we be able to recover the economy again?

I'm struggling to understand the Apr/May recovery. To me this is the market finally coming to its senses.
