You may have funded the put, but you are still limiting your upside potential.

PGFHGS.

If whatever gain was locked in is insufficient (nobody ever lost money taking a small gain, עאכו"כ a large gain) just keep on selling puts at that strike price.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

And the DAF has potential to grow as it is invested. I have found that daf’s through Jewish federations have the lowest fees.

Fidelity and Schwab both are .60% or $100 whichever is greater, where have you seen smaller than that?

How does this help? Unless you were planning on giving that amount to tzedaka anyway?
Well, ya I didn't mean he's going to make money by giving charity.
But if he already gives cash to charity, that was a way to donate while solving his Tesla stock tax issues.

The donation is for current value and you did not realize the capital gain.
Feelings don't care about your facts

And also the most scrutiny on your donations
Jews ≠ Zionists
Palestinians ≠ Hamas
Satmar ≠ SatmarHQ

Right, I should have said "unless you were already going to give that amount -15%"

It was funny at first.. but once it's been widely known to be a different company, why is it not tanking back to reality?

Probably thin market. Non professional buyers not knowing how to take a loss.

Is there any way to short it?

I highly doubt it. If it's thinly traded, there's probably no shares available to borrow.

I doubt the price will drop too quickly. Once it received this amount of attention it will stay a popular company (at least in short term) which is good for the stock price.

Oh come on. Attention alone doesn't make a company overvalued by more than 6000%

They literally have 1 employee... Not sure there is much to maintain its popularity.

This company would never have had the opportunity to get out there. Now that it is known it has a good chance of staying popular. Obviously 6,000% is way overblown. So is the assumption that it can lose 6,000% in a few days.
