Can someone explain why these stocks seem to fly in AH trading. Are there no sellers AH, or that secondary markets don't control the spreads as closely.

less liquidity AH so its easier to move.
RH reopening also positive.

Markets are efficient in the end. Manias happen but eventually settle. There is no telling if it stops tomorrow or in 10 years, $500 or $50,000, but this stock will crash.

I doubt professional Wall Street firms are still involved, it's just a mad mob waiting to trample over each other on the way down while they keep on blaming the elites for doing it to them.

The question is, if this is the truth, why didn't they say any of this and let the speculation and rumors run wild?
Admitting that they have liquidity problems isn't good either.

Admitting they have a liquidity problem to cover billions during a once-in-a-lifetime trading crunch is a bigger problem than conspiring with Hedge funds and government regulators to stop trading, force selling, and who knows what else?

Not for future investors in Robinhood. They have an IPO coming up and need to protect their reputation.

That's the explanation I read online - not an expert...

Well, if the purpose of your company is to give the average Joe the opportunity to trade, and a massive story breaks that threatens to break the trust in your service from your users and decimate your user base, that's gonna be amazeballs for your investors too.

And what, they thought they'd get a billion invested and future investors wouldn't notice that they needed it because of liquidity issues?

Well, looks like they actually did put out such a statement (albeit more vaguely):

https://blog.robinhood.com/news/2021/1/28/an-update-on-market-volatility

Still, it came at almost the end of the day and long after the rumor mill had run wild.

It's not a good value prop anyway because all the big brokers copied the features that made trading more accessible to average Joes (e.g. $0 commissions, partial shares). It would never have happened without RH but right now Fidelity and Vanguard are just as accessible to low NW traders as RH, so what's the attraction to RH anymore? The only major difference now is the UI and the fact that RH doesn't ordinarily stop their customers from gambling situations (while Vanguard completely disallows ultra high risk and Fidelity makes you fill out forms and be reviewed first), neither is enough to make me believe in their IPO.
