I am happy that this worked out well for you, but this is one of the most common and costly mistakes people make. You never bought this for long term prospects. You bought it as a short term trade for speculation of upcoming news. That you are now standing on a loss does not improve their long term outlook in any way. It could have just as easily gone to zero.
I knew this was coming. So actually I read up on that stock at the time and decided it was worth the shot. I probably wouldn't look at it if not for the incident, but I was too embarrassed to turn my small investment into a loss the very next day just because I acted five minutes late :)

This is a VERY risky attitude if you are going to buy things for a one day trade.

My personal policy for these things would be to sell it at a loss and but it back even the same day (wash sale provisions notwithstanding)

Im in since 9.30 😜 I am wondering if it’s too hyperbolic jumping at every tiny news. But holding and keeping a tight eye.

I know nothing about this stock specifically, but relax on taking so much credit every time a volatile stock is up from when you posted. In fact, for the first month after you posted, it was down. The second month, it's up. Good for you, but that's expected.

I am not at all taking a victory leap in fact I rarely post my holdings gains or losses I simply wanted to get some perspective from fellow holders. The fact that it was down initially was expected for a new stock, but being value privately at 10.50 I didn’t see much risk

any good recommendations on some small number investments ?
First of all the usual boring disclaimer, Always do research and diversify your holdings.
A few stocks I'm currently holding are DAC, FVE, and VICI (also for it's dividend)

Why not post your gains and holdings?

Care to give a short explanation for why you like each of them?

I wasn't replying or referring to yourself.
I also don't see a problem with an occasional victory lap, or if someone points out their mind-boggling numbers (e.g. the few hundred percent gains mentioned up-thread).
It's the constant messages of "I told you so" that are uncalled for imho.

These stocks (especially the first two) are very well valued, growing well and momentum is moving it them in the right direction.
A few others I'd recommend looking into are CCS, AGO and LAZY.
(For ETF's, ARK's are the to go (ARKF, ARKW and ARKK).

I think that's also a good option, especially if you're looking at the dividend.

I got into TLRY last week at 19.04 per share. Seems like reddit/WSB is focusing on it now- trading north of $74 AH.

Any advice on when to sell? Don't see any rational way to play this, and don't want to end up like GME...

Id say a trailing loss order of say 20%. I don’t really see anyway to play it because it does not adhere to any common sense rules

Why not post your gains and holdings?
because this is not a stocks oriented forum people just randomly post ideas without advising why they are recommending or what their strategy is. I personally trade at high risk and would feel bad if others lost money because of something I posted. There are plenty of good traders on Twitter with solid analysis and picks, I can post some if interested.
