If you fund a traditional IRA and you have unearned income you could gain much more then $200 on a $6000 contribution.

What does unearned income have to do with it?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

You mean Savers credit?
https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/plan-participant-employee/retirement-savings-contributions-savers-credit

if yes, it is nonrefundable
only relevant if you have more liability then your total credits

Isn’t the savers credit sliding scale income based? So basically you need enough taxable income to be eligible but not too much otherwise there isn’t too much benefit. There is a sweet spot here I believe. Sweet enough to put in and take right out even for a penalty, or penalty free after a childbirth.

I thought maybe my kids might be eligible. But they're students and therefore ineligible.

What does unearned income have to do with it?
The EIC is based on the earned income or the gross income, whichever gets you a smaller EIC.
A contribution to a traditional IRA will only reduce your gross income not your earned income.

i.e. If your only income is 50k on a W2 it wont help if your gross income is reduced. However if your income is 40k W2 and 10K i.e. rental income (=50k gross), and you contributed 10k (6k self + 4k spouse) to a traditional IRA, your EIC will be based on 40k instead of 50k.
If it benefits even just one fellow DDFer, its worth posting it.

AAPL is climbing slowly... but it seems that a few analysts are saying its overvalued. Should I sell or wait it out?

You replied to the wrong post. But yes, I saw later in the day a news piece explaining the reason for decline to be a competitor in the same space failing. I was thinking that this might be an overreaction and something that would make @YitzyS make a move. But refrained from comment as I don't want to come across as having an opinion one way or another (I truly don't. I hold a tiny position in the stock with a huge gain, after having sold off most of my holdings several years ago for a nice profit).

Beautiful. If you sell today your annualized rate of return would be phenomenal.  ;D

NOT A RECOMMENDATION OR ADVICE. Not even an opinion, just statement of mathematical fact.

6% in a day is phenomenal. The best play is to sell, send the proceeds back in time by 1 day, and buy the same stock again. Loop and repeat until desired wealth level is achieved.

I did that but President AOC sent back the tax bill from 2032 and all my money was seized by the IRS.

The way to make money in stocks is to buy low and sell high, but if it goes higher then don't buy...

Minus the time travel, of course. Also, he liked making money, President AOC would have given him the death penalty.
