In for some HOOD as it seems low now. Trying to take baby steps and ask. Any opinions on HOOD under $17

I know little about the stock, but looking at its range, it's not so low - it's been coming down from the spike in Oct, and before that it was mostly in the 19-26 range...it spiked in October, and it's been dropping since then. Seems more like a gradual decline to me, but would welcome hearing from more experienced members.

In my opinion it will stay in this range. No upcoming catalyst besides the crypto wallets which they are pretty late in the game.
And terrible overall momentum stock. Buy stocks on the way up not the way down

Not a company worth holding long term.

Hesitating to bring this up, because it could be meaningless, but just got an alert about DARE giving a presentation next week at an industry conference. In case anyone still held on to some of their shares this might be something to take note of. (full disclosure, I kept some shares because there were rumors about 2 additional announcements upcoming and thought there might be more fun ahead)

The press release is here, and I'll highlight a couple of sentences that seem interesting to me:
1) Ms. Johnson’s presentation will be available... under “Presentations, Events & Webcasts" in the Investors section of the company's website... beginning at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time on January 10, 2022.
2) Daré may announce material information about its finances, product candidates, clinical trials and other matters using the Investors section of its website (http://ir.darebioscience.com), SEC filings, press releases, public conference calls and webcasts.

Based on this I'm expecting at least one of the previously promised announcements to be a topic in the presentation (specifically, partnership/merger). By releasing the presentation pre-recorded at 7am, they will avoid the need to place a trading hold on the stock (which was a big blunder on their part). Definitely plan to watch or read the presentation that morning because if there is no announcement I 100% expect the market to take that very badly.

Seems unlikely that DARE will announce a partnership tomorrow, just my sense. But will keep an eye on it in the premarket tomorrow just in case.

Disclaimer: I cleared out my entire position in this by the approval. But would consider reentering on long or short side if big movement looked imminent.

Yup, nothing new.

Yup, not gonna touch DARE.

Will take a look at BYND though. Some positive news this morning that may be a catalyst for some upside movement, plus it is hovering near a level that may put pressure on the shorts.

And puts on the Q's. Will we see continued weakness in tech with the 10yr. moving higher day after day? Me thinks yes...
