That doesn't change the fact that in properly functioning markets a one-day 64% move, without any significant news (that was not previously public) to support it, isn't normal by any stretch of the imagination.

Depends which group you focus on, but yes. A few people made a lot in HKD at the expense of many bagholders. If they move that money into WSB stocks it's likely to stimulate another pump and dump. So the front runners aren't burning away money, only the followers

Understand, just saying it's not necessarily popping solely because of a meme when it's still down significantly in the short term. A buybuy spinoff can easily pay off nicely. Short interest is also way too high again at over 100%.
