thinking of moving my 11k from my ibond (back from when it was super high) to take advantage of the dips today.. what's my best bet? amazon, and or something else? (something more exciting than an index)
need a link to that google 8ball here. please don't take advice from anyone here especially for an individual stock. we are currently looking a 3 scenarios:
1) market correction with WS catching up to main street- some argue this is just the beginning and more pain to come (no name is safe)
2) market overreaction to macro factors creates a buying opportunity (in big names, not Russel type)
3) accelerated rotation out of tech AI which has an outsized impact on market numbers,(blue-chip is considered safer)
your guess is as good as anyone's insight here.

until now was underreaction, why is this overreaction?
I'm not disagreeing that a lot has not been priced in, what I am calling a overreaction is the over the top response to small data points that we all knew were coming

DXJ getting double hammered in the last two sessions. Down on the overall Japan market, and probably down even further as currency hedges going the wrong way.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

bought a small position in January to show support after pltr announced they will hold a board meeting in Tel Aviv to show solidarity with Israel during the country's war with Hamas.... might hold on to this one for a little longer :)
PLTR turning out to be one of the best trades this year

Yup I bought about 3 years ago made 100%, still have some in there but it does have its big ups and downs, for example yesterday and today so far.

...bought even more.
Everything looks like a buy now but AMZN has been my favorite on any dip.

To be transparent, Im fully out with 100%+ gain. In general I am a believer in sell the news and that September-November are bad months, therefore I traded out of all my speculative/growth oriented positions.

We had 8 years of the market doing great before he took office, no?
We also had a great market after he left office.
Now whoever wins it looks like the market will be off to a great start.

No. Whoever wins will lose, because this growth will most likely stop or even reverse.

This is the end of the race for all the pushers of big tech, it's not sustainable.

I was trying to make the point that your investment outlook should be void of politics.
Your $.02 can be spot on as it is not based on who will win or lose.

Sounds like what @ExGingi and I have been saying that the President has very little direct effect.

That is correct, and I am in the same boat.
