US Airway has a 'sweet spot' on their award chart that allows US to North Asia (includes HKG) for 90k in biz class. So would a ticket either originating in CLE or NYC, w/ a stopover in TLV, then onto HKG be allowed? (And then HKG back to starting city, although it would need to backtrack, since otherwise, it would be an around the world trip.) From HKG, I would imagine it would be easy to fly to BKK, or anywhere else you'd like, since there are a lot of low cost carriers in the area.
I'm not sure if the MPM would be exceeded, but I've heard that US agents can be toyed with.

Any ideas?
How about other airlines?

How exactly would you fly from TLV-HKG on Star?
Via FRA?  I doubt US will let you backtrack like that.

Maybe it's possible with RJ, they fly to HKG with a 1hr stop in BKK, and they are US partners, or maybe even with TK, through IST, and that's not so much backtracking.

I have done with US stranger things than that.

Routing TLV-MEL with a stop in US for 2 weeks for 120K (J)
Routing ORD-AJU with a stopover of 1 week in Munich for 100K (J)

Get the most stupid rep possible on the phone, and you'll be able to get that done...

Same prob as FRA, backtracking to Europe. I'm sure some reps will book it but it may take multiple HUCAs.

So that would seem to be a great option if available.
CLE - PHL (or NYC) - TLV (stopover) - IST - HKG

If that were 90k in biz class, it would be great.
