Untie the knot, slide off the holder
Can't do that on YT
Just because things turned out a certain way doesn't mean you were right.

True, was talking about c"h. Only real issue is on 3 day y"t. But then I just leave it in damp paper towel out of fridge in basement. (Cool) just make sure not too wet or lulav will get moldy

I wrap mine in a wet paper towel, then silver foil, then put it in the fridge.
exactly.
My aravos and hadasim are in a holder. So I slide that off and wrap that up.
exactly.
Then the holder gets moldy from the moisture of the papertowel
Keep that part of the paper towel dry
or just wrap the top part and leave the holder exposed.
nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

You just pour it into the bottom of the bag or try to spread it around?

Not quite keeping it alive but putting the leaves into oil will keep the smell fresh for years. (especially if you follow prep directions similar to this https://articles.mercola.com/herbal-oils/myrtle-oil.aspx

I came figure out why some people who spend a lot of money on their lulav and esrog would be unwilling to spend the $5 to have nice arovos for the whole sukkos.

+1. Though my father and my neighbor both have aravos growing that they let me take from, so I have fresh aravos for free in the only 2 places I ever really spend YT.

no need to keep fresh. Every yr i take off the leaves and stick them in container, with a little crunching before sniffing they smell great!
