My wife just did 2bm nfl and us air no instant approval on both called up they said since she has no personal cc for min 1 year(she has a 750 score but au for 2 years and she just got 2 cards last week discover and citi) they can't approve her. U think huca?

IME Barclays is pretty strict and HUACA doesn't help usually ....then again it can't hurt to try but make sure they don't pull your credit report again.

I know I'm nervous they pulled it again from just that phone call I'm on mobile and I can't check but it seems that they mark each phone call and recons didn't work for most people here unless already have a barclays card

I doubt BofA will know anything about it

Not sure on the Barclay number but after I was approved, I was instantly able to login and determine I had the 40k bonus attached, under the menu 'Rewards' and 'Program Overview':

Anyone know how long this offer will last? I had some issues with Barclay's lately and would like to give it some time.

Also, has anyone tried getting a Barclay's card approved (after being declined) by calling recon and transferring some credit line?

Looks like the offer is now $100 after 1st spend. I applied 4 days ago when the offer was still 40000 pts after a $1000 spend, still waiting for approval. Anyone know if the bonus applies to the application date or the approval date ? I'm hoping they wouldn't try to stick me with the reduced bonus just because it takes these guys forever to approve something

Absolutely not true for me. I just got approved for the US Airways card for the 3rd time in the last 4 months.

Both times I've tried it in a 2BM with NFL it did not work though - the NFL was denied and I did not bother reconning, as reports say that they often pull again on a recon call. They've pulled TU all 3 times for me, in NY.

Side point, my 1 purchase on my last card was a 25 cent meter. I received the 40K and they refunded the 25 cents, so it was essentially 40K for doing nothing - and a free meter. Next time I'll go all out and put 75 cents in

did you close the card down each time before reapplying?
Do you have any other Barclays cards?

This is consistent with my experience as well. I've tried the two browser method three times and all three times got approved for the US Airways and denied for the NFL Extra points. Just for an experiment, I applied for the NFL Extra points card alone and was also denied. So, it may not have anything to do with the 2BM.
